  1. Where is The Comedy Shrine located?

    We are located just outside of the Westfield Fox Valley Shopping Mall in Plaza Square.

  2. How do I purchase tickets or make a reservation for a specific show?

    Call 630-585-0300 or purchase tickets online.

  3. What is the difference between improv and stand-up?

    Stand up comedy is a routine, so it's rehearsed by the comic. Improvisational comedy is made up on the spot - think "Whose Line Is It Anyway?".

  4. What time should I arrive?

    The lounge and lobby opens one hour before each night's first show and 30 minutes prior to subsequent shows.

  5. What payment methods can I use at The Comedy Shrine?

    We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. No personal checks accepted. Oh yeah, we take cash, too.

  6. Where can I park near the club?

    The Comedy Shrine boasts a large parking lot, allowing ample,free parking for all of our customers.

  7. What is the refund policy?

    All sales are final. There are absolutely no refunds, rain checks or exchanges.

  8. Is there a drink minimum?

    We have a two-drink minimum in the showroom, which applies to all shows and all ages of customers. The drinks do not have to be alcoholic, and The Comedy Shrine offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Beverages purchased in the lounge/at the bar before or during the show do NOT count toward the one-drink minimum.

  9. How long do the shows typically last?

    Shows are usually between an hour and a half and an hour and forty-five minutes in length unless otherwise noted.

  10. Is there a dress code?

    Nice, casual attire is appreciated.

  11. Is there handicapped access?

    Yes, our venue is 100% handicapped accessible!

  12. Are cameras allowed in the club?

    Patrons may take photographs before or after the show. Taking photographs, filming, videotaping or other recording of shows without the written consent of the club and the artist is strictly prohibited. Patrons who abuse this policy will be ejected immediately.

  13. Can The Comedy Shrine be rented out?

  14. Should I research the comedian before attending a stand-up show?

    Yes. Comedy is subjective and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight on the expected performance.

  15. I'm a stand-up comic. How can I perform at The Comedy Shrine?

    Monday’s Open Mic Night at The Comedy Shrine is a weekly expo of the area’s best up-and-coming performers.
